BoxNation / BT Sport / Frank Warren Portraits !

This week we had the pleasure of photographing Frank Warren’s fighters. These portrait photos will be used for marketing material and graphics on TV. There was a press conference being being held at the BT Tower in London, so in order to make the most of the fighters all being in one place we built a temporary studio. We kept in mind the end use of the portraits with a plain background and good edge lighting to make cutouts easier so that they have maximum flexibility of use. Gary Lineker Portraits

This week we were asked to provide some promotional portraits of the football legend and TV Presenter Gary Lineker. We were aiming for something stylised ahead of BT Sport’s coverage of the UEFA Champions League. We were very happy with the results! The Image appeared on multiple news websites and even Gary himself tweeted out the photo.

We were recently asked by the International Hockey Federation (FIH) to produce player headshots for on-screen graphics as part of the broadcast of the 2016 Champions Trophy tournament in London. Sound simple? Here’s the reality… Twelve teams of 20 players and coaches had to be shot in specific time windows over two 14 hour days. Each player had to be shot four times (home and away kits plus reference shots with name cards). The files were then renamed based on team and player details and the images were cut out overnight to provide transparent backgrounds. Each cutout was then cropped …
