             C1 Photography Showreel

We specialise in corporate and event videos and short features, often producing fast-turnaround highlights packages for internal and external communications. When we say ‘fast-turnaround’, we really mean it. For example, we recently shot a highlights video for the Premier League and BT and produced multiple same-day edits including several fully accessible versions (green screen BSL interpreting, subtitles and audio description). All of these were available within hours of the finish of the event.

For PR engagements, we frequently combine stills photography and filming as part of the same job. This allows for both images and video assets to be released to the media after an event, thus increasing the chance of pickup. Whatever the job, we work hard to help bring our clients’ messages to life.

For some clients we work with in-house creative teams to produce promotional / highlight videos or B-roll for media use etc. For others, we offer a complete service, helping to turn often vague ideas into the finished product. We’re also experienced in following any brand guidelines or house style guides you may have to ensure the final video reflects your overall look and feel.

Recent video commissions include producing same-day highlights packages of national and international Wheelchair Rugby tournaments and also editing our own footage with archive material for sponsor messages shown on the Mall and in Trafalgar Square as part of the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations.

Whether you’re looking for a corporate promotional video, an event highlights package or B-roll which you can offer to the media, why not check out our showreel here or you can see some examples of our work below.

Recent Projects
"GB Wheelchair Rugby Youth Programme" - Film & Edit
GBWR wanted to show the impact of the youth programme on young players’ lives and showcase the BT Youth Tournament.

We followed players from two youth teams, The Exeter Hawks and the Harlequins as they trained for the tournament. The previous year, the Harlequins had beaten the Exeter Hawks in the final and this year the the final ended up being a re-match of those two teams.

We also produced a second short film at the tournament showing Libby's story (a young player from the Ospreys in Wales).

In these two very short films, we tried to show what Wheelchair Rugby means to some of the young people by talking to their teachers, family, coaches and the players themselves.

Services: full end-to-end creative, filming, edit, colour grading.

"Great films. They really tell the story of the youth players well."
- David Pond (GBWR)
"Seenit App" - Film & Edit
The Seenit App won a competition run by the BT Infinity Labs to identify innovative mobile technology which could help increase audience engagement for BT Sport. BT Infinity Labs wanted a standalone case study video showing how BT Sport had integrated Seenit into its programming and the potential benefits to technology innovators of entering competitions run by BT Labs.

Services: full end-to-end creative, filming and sourcing archive and TX materials, edit, colour grading.

"Really like the edit - it definitely gets across our messages."
- Will Pryke (BT Infinity Labs)

"Debating Matters" - Film & Edit
Debating Matters is an annual debating competition for young people run by the Institute of Ideas. They wanted a promotional film shot at one of the regional finals in the run up to the national final which included the participants, judges and sponsors in order to highlight some of the benefits of involvement.

Subsequently, we also filmed the national final and produced an expanded edit with the additional content and bringing in new perspectives from teachers and the Institute of Ideas.

Services: full end-to-end creative, filming, edit, colour grading.

"We are delighted with these. Well done!"
- Joel Cohen (Institute of Ideas)

"The BT Sport Supporters Club Birthday video" - Edit
The BT Sport Supporters Club, a charitable joint venture with Comic Relief recently celebrated its 3rd birthday. We were commissioned to pull together the best bits of the fundraising over the past 3 years into a short, ‘feel good’ edit to show how BT staff and customers’ fundraising makes a real difference to people’s lives.

Services: collate archive materials, source new music track and re-edit footage

"The new compilation hits all the right messages and is exactly what we wanted."
- Dave Rowley (BT Sport Supporters Club)

"Gradiator Challenge" - Film & Edit
Each year, around one hundred graduate trainees in BT undertake a gruelling physical challenge to raise money for charity. For the past two years, the challenges have taken place in the Peak District and we have filmed them and produced extended highlights videos. These films have been used to promote subsequent challenges and as a ‘thank you’ / souvenir for the fundraisers and volunteers.

The brief from the client was to show how hard the activity was, including as many participants as possible, and to also convey a sense of fun so that people would volunteer for the next year’s challenge! Filming in the middle of a peat bog is always challenging, but as you can see, the end result certainly gave an impression of ‘being there’.

The client was very happy that we met the brief and the film was very well received by the fundraisers and volunteers. Since the original films we have also done shorter re-edits which have been used extensively in internal and external comms to promote the fundraising.

Services provided: full end-to-end creative, filming on main cameras and go-pros, graphics, edit, colour grading, supporting stills photography

“Amazing video and we’ve had great feedback from the participants. Thanks for all your efforts!"
- Andy Lewis (BT)
